Jodie Crisafulli

Ms Jodie Crisafulli has worked in safeguarding and child protection within the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay, Australia, for over 17 years, commencing in the diocese as the CatholicCare Child Protection Manager. She is an expert in workplace investigations dealing with child protection concerns and professional standards. She started her career as a Police Officer in the New South Wales Police Force where she developed her investigative skills and interest in child protection.

In 2012 Jodie commenced work in the Chancery Office of the Diocese of Broken Bay to assist the diocesan response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

Jodie’s current position is the Director, Diocesan Office for Safeguarding within the Diocese of Broken Bay. She reports to Bishop Anthony Randazzo and leads three dedicated safeguarding teams across the diocese, covering the Chancery & Parishes, Schools and CatholicCare. These teams like Jodie, are committed to establishing a culture of safety and care for all people, especially for children and adults at risk.

Jodie is a member of the Marist Fathers Province of Australia Professional Standards and Safeguarding and as a Director within the Diocese, Jodie is part of the Diocesan leadership team and works closely with other Safeguarding within the ecclesiastical Province of NSW/ACT.
