Pe. José Alfredo Gonçalves Patrício is a priest from the Diocese of Lamego (Portugal). He obtained a master’s degree in canon law at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome).

Since 2013, he has focused his studies and research on the prevention and treatment of cases of sexual abuse of minors, and he dedicates part of his time to legal counselling for individuals and ecclesial institutions.

He is currently Rector of the Pontifical Portuguese College, in Rome.
